At least you know about fishing and conservation. There are some things money can't buy. Common sense is high on the list.

There's a huge difference between conservationists and environmentalists...

I'm all for conserving all that's natural. Not to the point that people shouldn't have access to a man made pond tho.

Radnor lake was made by a railroad that needed water for their steam locomotives, and not for a bunch of hand wringing libs to act as if it was made by the hand of God that had to be protected from ill willed fishermen.

It would be an awesome kayak/canoe only lake but the libs don't wish any fish suffer a sore lip.

very true. I've lost access to many striper spots on my home waters because fisherman littered with trash, were loud at off hours and made a general nuisance of themselves and people got sick of it and shut us all out.

for every fisherman who bring s out what he carries in or even picks up after others there are 10 fisherman leaving bait boxes and beer cans and piles of mono behind.

I was on one local well known creek sunday. it looks like some one decorated it for christmas with all the different color trot lines left hanging off every branch by the scumbag catfish brigade. they are so lazy they can't reach up and cut off the whole line, leaving an eyesore and line all over for other fisherman to get tangled in. at least the general public doesn't go there.

I could see maybe making it accessable to canoes and kayaks only and all catch & release since it's a wildlife management area. Really to properly manage that lake there should be a slot size of bass allowed to be harvested but you can't expect tree huggers and hardcore conservationists to apply laws of science to things.

This place is like 10 minutes from where I live and I'd love to kayak fish in peace and have access to that good of fishing. I agree that making it completely off limits is beyond ridiculous.

Unfortunately if fishing was allowed, it wouldn't be such a peaceful place to fish. Shore fisherman all over. Canoes and kayaks all over.

Yea speaking of idiot liberals..

I'd love to see the looks on the faces of these people if they saw me dragging a deer out of there haha. It would be worth the fine.

I've gone there a few times with my wife and kids, especially when my kids were very young.

Radnor is appealing for what it is, a quiet, natural place in the midst of an urban/suburban surrounding, and those places are needed.

There's places for hunters to take a deer, but it's also nice for kids to have places to go see one, and for old folks to take a quiet, safe walk in nature.

And lets be honest, fishermen would ruin the place. I've been involved in different kinds of outdoor pursuits, as have most of you all, and BY FAR, fishermen are the worst littering, lazy, disrespectful to the environment subgroup of them all.

Radnor has a wilderness area classification that mandates it be maintained similar to a National Park. It's primary function is to be as native and natural as possible. Other places are designated to have more and heavier human usage.

Seems like we can have both kinds of wilderness places...

Bluebills, jacks, redheads, canvasbacks, buffleheads. You go there in January. I bet highest population of ducks in middle TN! It's quite the sight at times, 1000's of birds.

Then it would be similar to Bedford Lake, Williamsport Lakes, etc. I don't think it would just get covered up with fishermen. TWRA should manage it and it would be a great fishing lake. The small TWRA managed lakes are plenty peaceful despite plenty of bank fishermen and canoe/kayak anglers.

Now, duck hunting may be pushing it

Dude I'm not even allowed to bring my dog on the hiking trails. Come on, that's a bit extreme...

Dogs dig and could destroy plants.
