Forgot about Line Butter. I have some of it in my reel lube gear bag...it is pretty oily. Have not seen any of Predator Line Conditioner....have you used it?

I haven't.

I use glide made by Umpqua on my fly lines but haven't really seen enough from it to warrant trying similar stuff on my mono's. Seems like the biggest issues with me not getting casting distance comes from the reels not being at full line capacity more so than limpness. Could be wrong though as I never have tried it. Not totally against trying if it works.

I think one of the reasons I have zero line issues is my use of KVD Line Conditioner. I use a lot of it. I'll check out some of Headricks stuff next time up at Dale Hollow.

I may have to give it a try then. Do you pre soak the night before or apply the day of use?

I apply at night and then also in the morning before fishing. A bottle goes a long way. browntrout uses it all the time also. I know he highly recommends it.

Smile This may help ... <'TK><

Now this may be a "Far Stretch" for some ... No Pun intended When I stayed at my cabin and fished the Caney weeks on end ... My spinning gear would really get twisted do to current etc. ... To resolve this problem I would stop at the Center Hill Dam and drop each weighted line over the down side of the dam (250 feet) and let the line untwist and correct the twist and go back to memory of the line ... No problems from then on until after weeks of further fishing created the same problem ...

Not many of you have access to a straight vertical drop but it works ... It may be worth your while if you can find a bridge, Dam etc ... That is legal to be on ... And try this method ... It works ... <'TK><
