LOL....
It really depends on how it's cooked I guess for me. Everything tastes the same fried.
I have baked some marinated sauger in teriyaki, butter boiled some striper like lobster and had catered salmon at my wife's work functions that are all pretty incredible to my taste buds.
As for just fried the OH Tilapia have been the absolute best for texture, firmness and as good taste that I have had fried in any species.

Crappie and bream are my favorites, but I never turn down buffalo. Buffalo ribs are possibly one of the best kept secrets among fishermen. Don't turn your nose up until you try them.

No, however I have eaten fried fish eggs from other species.
I didn't think they had a lot of taste.

ive eaten them and they were great. the only place i ever ate them was straight out of the St. Clair River in Michigan. it was a big to-do. several of us would go out, bring a turkey fryer kinda thing (they werent called turkey fryers 15-18 years ago, just big pots of oil on a propane burner)
we would net then, dump them in a bucket and sombody got the scissors, snipped the head, pulled the guts and tossed em in egg wash, some kind of dry fish fry mix and right to the hot oil within 5 minutes of being netted.
just like eating french fries. lol.
