Thumbs up

I launched at Shutes and stayed in the cove and slayed the catfish on the back side of the bridge(after chasing bass earlier).

I wanted bass but started fishing small jigs under a float on the riprap.

It is only preparing us for winter so I had fun and of course it was much better than a work day wind and all.

Nice catch!!!!! I need to fish the frog more. I remember watching a good fisherman on Center Hill throwing a frog in December. He asked if he could go between me and the bank on a long shallow point. He put a 13 inch smallie in the boat right in front of me. I was fishing a yellow fly in about 16 ft of water. I changed quickly after seeing that and started working shallow to 8 ft and had a good rest of the day. Never thought I would see the frog work in 55 degree water. But I do eat turkey and dressing in the in the summer. Try to learn something everytime you go out!!!!!

This ^ is awesome. I will say that one thing I noticed is that the frog produces Big fish. Small fish will eat it but usually if you are going to get bit it's from a big fish. I am going to keep it tied on all the time and see what happens. I have the new SPRO Bronze eye shad that is a walking bait so I will be fishing that.
