I hear ya about discontinued lures. Our go to was the Yo Zuri 3D minnow in White Pearl. They discontinued that so I started buying as many as I could and am still buying more You can't find the White Pearl anymore. They are going for double on E bay.

Well it is an educated guess to some extent. You have to look at the projected water release, look at the water level in the lake, look at the elevation of and what they are doing at Great Falls, and then look at the current generation schedule. Also have to factor in any projected rain events. Also the outside temperatures plays a role in it due to power demand. They are also in the process of drawing the lake down to winter pool. I know that isnt an exact formula but that is kind of what goes into trying to figure out the schedule a week ahead of time. Also knowing what they have done in the past is the best indication. I watch the schedule every day and have been for the last 20+ years. Experience is the best teacher.

Also when it is a holiday weekend the will usually publish the schedule early. I look for the Thanksgiving and weekend schedule to be posted on Wednesday,

Roy

I will also say that once you think you have the Corps figured out they change all of the rules. LOL

I haven't been on here in about a year because I moved out of the area. I got an email wishing me a happy birthday and figured out I would check in. This discussion makes me wish I was back in my canoe throwing the big streamers while they are generating. I never even got good enough at fly fishing to catch a whole lot but a bad day fishing beats a good day most places. I'm going to be up that way for thanksgiving but won't get to fish I'm going to have to find some time to get back up that way for some fishing soon

Well BT sign me up!!!, I know the seat is taken for this trip but keep me in mind for any future trips to the Caney or just about anywhere if the schedule allows, I'm alaways looking forward to fish new waters, learn from experinced fisherman and meet new friends, the fishing part compliments the trip nicely specialy when it comes to trout, one of these days i may take my Riverhawk up there, but before i will like to learn how to deal with current and such since it could be dangerous and i'm not a seasoned boater by any means!!

Hey I will most definitely keep you in mind TS. If Alphahawk has to have knee surgery I will have an open seat for a while.

Usually they stick to a pattern during the week so the generation will be the same Monday through Thursday, often on Friday as well then Saturday and Sunday is anyone's guess. Today they pumped from 11am-4pm, tomorrow they pump from 5am-11am and then again from 5pm until 10pm. I hope on Wednesday they revert back to the Monday schedule or something similar. Me and agelessone have plans to fish from his boat right up in the generation for walleye and trout starting after lunch until about 4 or so.
