You guys sound just like my ol' lady, things are always my fault!!! If you had a good laugh you should've seen the look on the officers face when I told him don't even bother with us!! He was confused and kind of pissed, then he felt sorry for us. 😂 I think he laughed as hard as everyone else out there!! There for a while, we cussed everyone we seen with a bent pole!!! Even you. Merv, he got a dog cussing and we sent him a pic of how we felt about his fishing tactics!!

I'm off Friday and thinking I might go back out there and try it again...raining or not...

Don't feel bad Skillet. Its all TNBronzeback's fault I am sure. And Ole Merv will always kick you when you are down.

Well, I don't want to blame Tnbronzeback, but it is his fault!! 😂😂😂😂 and Merv was kicking relentlessly!! He was letting EVERYONE know he had a fish on!
@$$hole Haha.

While we were following him on a pass, I had two hard knocks and but didn't commit. Caught a hybrid. Then Tnbronzeback caught one. After that I told him to turn around and make another pass. He caught two back to back and then that striper hit me. So I pretty much saved the day with that call!!! That's why we can ALL blame him!!!

I was out there in the StarCraft, watching the whole thing also. I was dragging shiners. Caught two little fish right away, then had to sit there and listen to Merv hoot and report on his head count also. I finally gave in and started trolling the only a-rig I had in the boat. Caught five in the next 30 min. All small. Congrats on the striper. Enjoyed meeting and talking with Merv before I headed out.

You add some trooper shades and that hat should be bumped to the front of the rotation.

Yeah, no one likes Merv!

I warned TN last time we were out that it took Jimmy and I almost a year to have a good day fishing together. Jimmy was about as much bad luck as Sambolie and i have never fished with him.

On a side note, while all the working slugs were off the lake, paying into my retirement (thank you very much), me and Jerry Wyrick were out catching 40, yes, you read right....F..O...R....T....Y.
And our striper was bigger than skillets little bait fish that he caught (actually, snagged was what TNBRONZEBACK told me Sunday).
Hang in there you buttercup snowflakes, you'll get the hang of this fishin stuff someday......maybe......well, I guess anything is possible......if you stand in your boats, click your heels and wish.....you could fish like.Merv!

Yes, I think you were fishing live bait earlier and I thought maybe you had caught just caught one on live bait. Marking fish everywhere but they didn't want anything to do with shiners

Aero came out later in the afternoon and fished shiners. Don't know what his final tally was but he sent me photos of some nice fish so he did catch some on live bait.

Only reason you caught that striper is because I wasn't out there!! And whether I caught or snagged the fish doesn't matter, it had a hook in its mouth and hit the boat floor on the end of my fishing pole!!!!

Naw, not us. We didn't use live bait at all. Considered it, considered a lot of things that morning

I gave up on live bait years ago. I like to use chicken livers for cat fishing. Those dang chickens don't live long under water.
