Good job guys. I heard it was tough fishing. I had life get in the way of me fishing the tournament. The toilet upstairs leaking easter weekend caused part of my ceiling to fall in so that had to be taken care of and some other stuff around the house. My wife was happy that I stayed home and took care of the things that needed it so I am in the good now.

Oh yeah. I ignored my house last year working multiple jobs all year so this year I am playing catch up. I knocked a large portion out this previous weekend so it should be pretty easy to keep things up now. I just need to get my garden planted now. This year is going to be a little different with the wife starting a full time job this week. She has taken care of most house work because she only worked part time for the last three years, I get to help with more now.

I'm not a tourney guy but I'm glad you're getting go turn outs for these.

Honestly, I'm not a tourney guy either. I do like the fellowship.

I had many people approach me and thank me for this and say this is completely different from a bass boat tournament. I find that most of the kayak guys are more easy going and just more laid back. They joke around, and hang out and enjoy a beer together and generally don't get upset. Sometimes after an event we'll all get together and eat afterward. We have about 6 guys that regularly fish with us that came out of bass boat tournament fishing, and they are great guys, and two of them still fish bass tournaments out of a boat. There was a bass boat tournament (6 boats) launching out of the Bledsoe State Park ramp Saturday, and they were interested in what we were doing, and some seemed interested in trying it out. The State Park was very happy with us and want to do more with our group.

I find the more and more different groups you have the more segregation you have and I'm not a fan of that. I like the close knit, not the this group and that group thing.

This is something I enjoy and we raise money for Heroes on the Water a great organization I'm happy to be a part of. We have not benefited or profited at all, actually we're about $1000 out of our own pocket, but I don't care and my wife don't care it's what we enjoy, and we'll keep doing it as long as we keep enjoying it and everyone else does also.

Sounds like you've got a really good thing going. The fellowship sounds great.
