I went fishing only about 7 times this year. Everything broke or needed to be built this year. Plus when I did get out my Mercury would do the engine alarm 6 beeps. Now I’ve got an app VesselView. It lets me know it’s just more wood from Old Hickory stuck in the stat. Pretty neat setup. What’s worse I put a 12” Solix on it and an Ulterra in the spring and used it very little. As soon as I put a few deer in the freezer I’m ready to get back to it. When I get on the page I enjoy seeing how much fun everybody else is having.

Man, I just don't enjoy hunting as much as you guys. All my friends stop fishing to kill deer, I would rather fish. I like eating them but damn I hate hunting. If I could just go out and kill I would be all for that.

I enjoy hunting, but I love fishing way more, and there’s always fish to be caught this time of the year!!!

I usually have my quota of the deer for the year before now but building this house has consumed my weekends. Not the building part, but fixing up our property and such. Ive got the rods all rigged for jigging and the boat set, just gotta get on the river.
And yes skillet, to comment on another thread of yours, i will put on my chefs hat for you and merv again this year and fire up the grill. Lol

I'm debatin whether to go for hybrids or tilapia.....what's a man to do?
Done killed 6 deer, gave three to friends, three in the freezer.
Friend of mine said the fishing was sporadic yesterday until 3:00. They turned on and we're fired up til dark, spoons at 7 Points campground.

As my name implies, I an exclusive bank fisherman and with a newborn my spring/summer was cut short on fishing.

Me and my 5 year old are gearing up and ready for trout season though.

Be prepared for many "bank reports", I know most guys here are boat or yak guys but just in case there are a few purist i will be posting..

Hoping for a brown this year and maybe a PB rainbow.

Also ready for some bank striper/hybrid/whites/.. anybody doing any of that fishing from the bank in Rutherford county I would love to tag along and learn more!

That's a mess of fish right there. I have never caught a trout in my life. I sure like eating them though. I've only tried to catch them one time. I almost caught one on a jig though in Old Hickory lake. I couldn't believe my eyes. But it was for sure some type of trout. Looked like a rainbow to me, but Im no expert in identifying them.
