You live on Bartons creek? I fish that creek alot. My daughter just bought a white brick house on Colesferry and Bartons is behind her house.

Went to the new proposed site at Martha Gallatin Recreation Area this evening to scope it out since I had never been there before. From a kayak fisherman's perspective, it looks like there is plenty of kayak friendly water in the immediate area and within paddling distance. I hope to see more fellow kayak anglers out there next Saturday.

Default Check in at Martha Gallatin

TK,
Do we have to check in at the park BEFORE we fish?

Me and my boat crew were planning on fishing below OH dam and that's 38 minute drive from the park. If so, what is the earliest we can check in so we can still get to the dam and have time to fish.

Did you say weigh in is at 12:30?

I'll be there with my kayak.

Also how did this thing turn into a fishing tournament?

Default Name tags?

Still not sure if I can make it, but trying. Won't make any tourney, but I'd like to make the cookout. Is anyone bringing name tag stickers so we can write our FT user names on? Would be the easiest way to put a face to the names of all these threads we read as we're wandering around the cookout.

This is not a tourney! No weigh in...We eat at 12:00. At first we had thought about having a little fun tourney but it just got out of sorts.

OK, musta missed that part where it's no longer a tourney.

Glad to hear it, now I can just meet my fishing partners at the OH dam and fish as early as we want.

UH OH! With no rain in sight, OH might not be generating any current for the foreseeable future. Could be tough fishing below the dam.

At least they are "spilling" some to keep the river flowing. Hopefully that will produce some current for the shad/skipjack/stripers to feed in.

From what I been hearing they are keeping all the spillways rolling to accommodate the lock and any barge traffic!!
For some reason I can't find old hickory dam generation schedule. Cordell hull has been spot on with its schedule.

Smile Update ... <'TK><

Sorry Guys, have been out of State to Columbia, MO this past weekend won all three classes in my 3 hp Racer (sometines Bass Boat LOL !!)

Okay I see a few post has been made and most have been answered about the upcoming "Gaithering" ... I will go by Office Max and see if they have some type of sticky back label we can use for the name tags ... Please put your FTI handle (username) on the tag as well as the Name you put on your Income Tax Form ... When filling out..

This is a first so there are no hard, set in concrete times start or finish ... Fishing or cooking ... This is just going to be a good fellowship meeting ... and a learning curve for next year... Would like to get the Charcoal going by atleast 12:30 PM ... If you catch some nice fish and want to show them off and have some pic's taken that would be good ... If not, being fishermen, we all have stories about the one that got away !! ...

There was a list started by Don a few pages back about what some folks are bringing ... I am sure there will be some extra goodies, but make sure you bring what you want to cook and drink ... At this point the food thing is a little loose so be prepared

Mark me down as a big maybe now. My wife is having outpatient surgery on Friday. I'll just have to see how she is doing.

It's still up in the air if I will make it to the gathering. If I come I will grab something on the way, chips, buns, ice, drinks or whatever we need. Looking like motochuck and I are coming, but it's so hard to make plans.
