I agree. I can no longer fish, but I loved reading about others who did!

I can't get out like I use to do. The last several years I was having issues with the Evinrude. I finally decided to repower in 2021. I didn't get the Mercury 200 ProXs until October 2023. On my second trip out for break-in, my lumbar started hurting. After 1-1/2 hour ride home I was hurting pretty good. A week or so later I was in the ER. So here I am waiting of some fishing reports from any lake in middle Tennessee. I think I am going to try to get out soon if the weather holds. First I have months of chores to catch up on. In the mean time I await medicare to approve my surgery.

So there is life on this board after all...

I've been fishing the river for Sauger. So far I've yet to catch a legal size, but those 5lb drums give a pretty good fight. Center Hill is still high according to the reports.

However on the land side, skunks are on the move, caught one last week after it dug under my shop. and the moles have taken over my lower property

I have had one treatment on my lumbar. Some sort of bilateral nerve block. It did give me some relief. But it only lasted a couple days. I have to get another round of blocks and then I'll get an ablation on those 4 nerves. I am told medicare requires two sets of nerve shots.
I have not made it to the water to fish, yet. I sure would like to hear and see some fishing reports. Sauger and crappie reports would be great. I have heard of some good sauger reports from east TN. They are tight lipped as to where. Can't say as I blame them.
Anyone have suggestions on crappie fishing on Old Hickory?I am curious as to when the spawn starts there. I know the lake runs cooler than the TN River.
A couple weeks ago, good friend's son caught a 9lb 14 oz bass in Williamsport lakes. It was a toad!!! That was one happy 16 year old !!!

Went fishing for several hours at Old Hickory. Only had 5 bites and boated two. Only one a keeper. Could not get a hit on plastics. Needed shallow running crankbait.

Default Bass Report- Old Hick

Been a while since checking in, here is a report of sorts. Been fishing in the creeks, bass bite has been good on black plastic worms, plenty of solid keeper fish. Picked up around 10 yesterday, but fish were generally smaller. Frog bite in the weeds has slowed considerably, when that was on it was too fun. There are still some bass to be had in the creeks. I plan to move out to main body since water in creeks is now above 80.

Default Bass Report- Old Hick-2

About the same, fish seem really scattered in and out of the creeks. Caught 11-12 this morning but only 4 good fish. Some on worms, some on grubs, didn't get the frogs out as the lake was very flat and still with not much surface activity.
