Default Old Hickory 2/9

Went to Old Hick yesterday from 10-3. Went into Station Camp Creek and it was really muddy and wind was blowing 10mph. Water was 46 degrees and bluebird skies. It was tough fishing.

The muddy water pushed the bass shallow. I was throwing dark colored spinnerbaits and caught 2 fish in the 12”-15” range around lay downs.

I switched to a bulk/blue Z-Man chatterbait and continued to fish shallow laydowns. My day turned around when a 5.6 lb. largemouth shot out and sucked up my chatterbait. I was pumped!!! Biggest fish of 2018 so far. Can’t wait for Spring!

I will post a pic if someone will help me. It doesn’t seem to be working or I’m doing something wrong.
