Hi guys, I have a 1962... 5.5 HP Evinrude Short Shaft .. That we have gone through and checked and or repaired ... Great Compression, Ignition and sync, Rebuilt Carb, Serviced the lower unit and great Water flow ... also checked the lower unit for seal leaks ... OK... A One pull to start motor !! Also a low hours motor ...
OMC has one of the best track records for these vintage motor from the 50's through the late 70's not a lot changed ... All parts are still available and I stock most of them ... (They are like small block Chevys a great concept that lasted 3 decades).
