Pinwheeled, this is actually the first time i have used the chartreuse heads. But i have known how effective a small bit of that color is on trout for years. Its no surprise.

One of the most effective rigs/setup i have ever used on trout is:

4lb at most fluoro line or at least leader.

Size 6 hook with a BB shot 12-18" above.

Thread half a red wiggler on and add a chartreuse crappie nibble on hook point.

This is absolutely deadly and that nibble makes a big difference.

Good luck.......hope you get a bunch. That chartreuse is deadly. I went from having none to now having a ton of them after I saw how trout react to it. I have a Stradic that is 4 years old that looks really beat up but with a couple of cleanings a year it still works great.

Regards

Default Chartreuse

I just picked up some of the chartreuse and red jigheads... I still haven't tried them yet... Did try half black/chart tm today and had really good luck fishing a small mountain stream close to the house... I've always used that catalpa worm looking color but never that one... I will give them a try soon looks like your ready to put a hurting on a few!

Chartreuse Jig heads and bright colored TM's are my go to set up for fast water trout, white being a favorite.

The lip on the spool looks nicked. That could be detrimental to line.

I'll fish with them as beat up as can be as long as they still work! They don't need to be shiny, the drag just needs to work!

Looks good, Travis. Rip some lips this weekend, I assume this is a Caney trip?
