Default East fork today

I rolled with TSuggs report and went to east fork today. I fished any good looking lay downs I could. I found crappie in the 10-16' range on submerged brush or holding to the deeper trees. I caught almost all my fish on crappie magnets in black/chartreuse, white/chartreuse, and purple/chartreuse.... I caught somewhere around 30 crappie with bluegill and largemouth sprinkled in. I only had 5 good size keepers. I tight lined trout magnets over deeper brush and threw them on the floats at shallower trees. I thought I had the lake record at one point, turned out to be two at once, a first for me. It was great to be out on the water today.

Sounds like you had a fun day. Wouldn't have thought they'd bite that good in this cold front.

Congrats on a good day. This cold front put them on the bottom down my way.

I was a little hesitant to fish because of the cold front but it worked out great. I know you had to have the magnets right over the deep brush to catch fish, they did not want to move much to eat. I will say its the first day of fishing with 4lb line, that stuff was pretty tough. I pulled multiple fish out if the woods today.

Looks like a great day, congrats. Is that Depth finder mounted to a Jon boat?
