Wow! very nice catch. Fish that you normally wouldn't think of catching on a bright, sunny day. Good job.

Nice fish Adrian (and Miss Adrian)!

Glad this fall looks like it will be a good one. It will be awesome when the huge ones show up now that you have the right gear and boat. Hope you get a giant this fall.

Call me in if you have a space one day, the boatless life sucks

It took me a couple hours to find them today. She hooked into a Huge one that took off taking 100' of line with him and just snapped it like a twig. 30lb Braid with 30lb fluorocarbon leader. I Winched my Big ones in without a hiccup. The Stripers are still Very Specific with the size bait they want. They want the shad that are in short supply at the moment...

Adrian,

Swing by sometime and pick up an extra striper rod and reel. I wont get any use out of it this year and it will give you another heavy set up. It is a very heavy spinning set up that your wife could use. It has 30 lbs mono on it, but would easily handle 80 lb braid. I have caught plenty of tuna, sharks, and grouper on it so it should handle the big stripers also.

Thanks. Yeah Definitely. I think she learned her lesson on that one. Last time that happened to me was when I called you from Bass Pro. Hasn't happened since )

She was sick about it. Cussing that fish as she tied on the next hook... She said she'd rather have not had a bite as to have one snap her off like that. hehe So Cool to see that line flying off and the Drag whining like a baby.
