I was there about 9 days ago looking for the fall shell cracker bite. It wasn't on then. The water temps were 75 degrees in the morning and went to 79 by 1:00 p.m. The Smallies had not moved up shallow yet. I will be going back up as soon as I know the water temps are down around 70 degrees. I saw some shad moving around but not a whole lot.

Alphahawk, I remember watching The Tennessee Outdoormen Show on PBS , when I was much younger, with Jimmy Holt and Glen Smith, They had some gentlemen on there that fished the buffs on Center Hill for gills. They caught some of the biggest gills I have ever seen. On crickets and heavy weights. I remember them saying " you got to get the cricket below the small gills to caught the monsters. Kinda dated myself with that memory
