Default 9-7-2014 - Jefferson Recreation Area

Only caught one fish but it was a decent one (3 lbs):

Caught it here on a Zara Spook about 30 feet out from the bank:

Nice, he may be a hand model, or maybe he doesn't want to come home smelling like fish.

How'd you know I was a hand model?

It took a long time to get the hook out of this one. I'm guessing while jumping he managed to hook himself with both hooks. Of the 6 prongs, 5 of them were stuck in him...so I got out the rag to hold him with while I maneuvered the hooks with the pliers. He took a pretty good gash under his lip, so when I held him up, I kept the rag pressed to the wound in the hopes that it would help slow the bleed-out.

The fish seemed ok when I threw it back in the water, so maybe the rag helped.

Cheers :-)
