Default Afternoon fishing

I snuck out for a few hours tonight and fished the river by my house. It was slow for the most part. I probably had 10 blow ups on the frog but they were mostly just slapping at it. The only fish I caught on the frog I never even heard him eat it, i just felt something pulling so I set the hook. Most of my fish came off the D bomb on the edges of the grass along the deeper water. Jimmy I threw a wacky rig worm for a bit but had no takers, I think it could be really deadly around all the grass. There are some pretty big fish in the river, I got a good look at most of them today when they missed the frog. No slaunch donkeys just a few dinks. I would love to know how the hydrilla got in that stretch of river.

It is sloppy. I went out last Sunday for about an hour and all the slop was gone because of the heavy rains. The water temps had dropped down to the mid 70's also because of all that cold rain we had. I did not have a bite or blow up. Glad it's back to normal.

If you don't mind me asking, what river is this? Would love to see grass like that back in Old Hickory where it used to matt up below the 109 bridge.
