Thumbs up Old Hickory Lake fishing report 7/17/2014

I went out today and found bait fish and more bait fish. All the bait fish are about 11/2" long and as far as you can see and everything is busting them. I'm going back out tomorrow with smaller tackle just to see if the bass will take it.I need to find what they will take to improve my chances at Walkers tournament this Sunday 7/20/2014...............woody

They are hitting the mayfly nymphs also but those bait fish are everywhere.

If you like to catfish now is the time in that area you fish as there was a time I fished that area every single evening.

Woody, we had luck on Tuesday throwing a Strike King Red Eye Shad in Sexy shad color into the bait busting action. There were a lot of 1 to 1 1/2 pound bass busting shad.
