Default Jpp 6.21.14

Started out below OH at 5am this morning. Couldn't find any shad in my normal spots so after trying for about 2 hours, packed up and went to Priest. Landed 2 10 pound Hybrids on large threadfin shad. I'm ready to catch some pure water zebra's in the river! Where are the shad at? I usually net them at the sewer treatment plant but the river was so they weren't there. Any tips on where to find shad on the cumberland right now?

Good looking bunch of fish! Seems like that bait tank is working out pretty well for you! How deep are you finding them?

Thanks guys. Alex, I caught my two at about 14-16 feet but I was feeling up after dropping my bait to the bottom based on marks on the graph. I dropped it, waited 2 seconds, and jigged it back up. The more I use the bait tank the more I like it and am learning how to maximize it's benefits. Today I used ice packs to cool the water which made a huge difference. The tank holds temp well with the insulated design. 3 ice packs and the water was about 70 in the tank all day. Surface temp was 85ish. I kept the shad and have the tank running still to use at catfish bait.
