Default Boga Grip Advise

My wife is letting me get a boga grip for my birthday. I can't decide on the 15lbs or 30lbs model. I don't chase a lot of species that go beyond 15lbs, but my fear is I will land one and wish I had the 30lbs model. Anyone offer any advise on which to roll with?

Go with the 30. I got the 30 and wished I had gotten the bigger one.

I've got the thirty and I'm happy with them, but sometimes wish I had a more precise device like the 15lb series for some of my 4-5lb fish, but if you are catching 30lb or larger fish you would want the 30 or the 60lb model. Which ever unit you get put a float on it before it goes near the water.

Depending on your quarry ... I would suggest that you buy both ... If not now but later ... 'TK><

Thanks guys. After my initial post I continued to research. Most people that fish open water go with the 30 and the ones that have the 15 fish rivers. I don't anticipate breaking any state or world records so being within a 1/2 pound works for me.

Float is a must...protect that investment! I'd go 30, anything bigger is going to be hard to hold up in the first place!

My 2 cents on the "generic" copies of the boga, don't do it. My son got the boga, my brother got a look-alike. The boga grips awesome, my brother's copy just won't hold like the boga. We've had several fish slip out of the copy, that's NEVER happened with the boga, which is why I'm saving my pennies and dimes to buy the boga!
