Default Looking for lily pads

I am a transplant to the area and could use some help.

I am tired of chucking jigs at sheer rock walls. I want to fish some hollow body frogs. Would like to know of a public lake in the Nashville area... north of Nashville along 65 would be better (I'm in Bowling Green and gas ain't cheap)... that is shallow and has moderate to heavy surface level weed. Will be fishing a kayak, so a great ramp is not important but would want legitimate parking.

Anybody know of any place that fits the description? Maybe a PM would be better. If so, I can keep a secret.

I believe Lake Beshear has lily pads.

Exclamation

No lily pads but when I cross Drakes creek up there in Warren Co. I see heavy grass and think that it would be awesome to canoe or wade.

Thanks. Drakes is right in my backyard. Access seems a little shakey, but maybe I'll give it another look. Thanks again.
