People...
Piss me off sometimes.
Not because they have found or started fishing my bluegill honey hole but because they can't seem to pick up a dam thing when leaving. Just this week, I have noticed food trash, broken nets, numerous yards of line hanging in or around trees, a 6ft piece of wire?, cut up frogs from I guess gigging and the hay bails placed for sitting at the waters edge have been busted up.
This my friends is the reason...you don't advertise (not that I did but it appears other who fish it has) a place you enjoy fishing. It won't be long that this will be only a fishing hole of found memories as starting this year they had blocked off 3/4 for that very reason.
Yeah... I done broke out mad face.

Sorry that happened, man. Way too many chicken liver, worm containers, drink bottles, and lure packages on all the popular bank fishing spots.

Same thing with Priest...every inch of accessible shoreline and the islands were trashed Tuesday morning. Really sad that people can't take the Same armful of stuff out that they brought in.

I feel for you. I still take trash bags to Pickwick and other places but one would need a convoy of trucks to haul it out. It really is a shame.

Took my neighbor that just moved from Arizona fishing and launched at Shutes and he asked what the requirements were to use the adjacent picnic tables and grilles and my comment was " Leave with more than you brought" .

It seems that any of the local rivers I fish here in murfreesboro are covered in trash. I don't get it.

Just so darn frustrating, what thought process goes through someones mind that a broken net....needs to lay on the ground instead of taking it with you. I mean they had to step over it to go back to their car???
Part of me hopes they close it off but part will still be disappointed.
Guess its time to find out who put the signs up and bargain permission. If I can get it at this point or catch all the big gills out and relocate them to my uncles pond about 10 miles away.

I know how you feel when there is a trash can two feet a way from the trash, how lazy can they get and I'm just going to have to talk to the fish about drinking all that beer and leaving the cans to float around for someone else to scoop up...............woody

I was at the boat ramp one time by my house and that dumped some beer and coke cans 20 feet from the trash can. He probably had 20 of them. What the heck?

Sorry to hear this, Travis but unfortunately, too many people take nature for granted or just plain old don't give a darn. I want my grandkids and their grandkids to be able to enjoy the same waters that I am fishing now and you would think most outdoors types would feel the same but nope. It's sad, it really is.

Trash
Nothing fires me up more than being around a body of water and seeing wad after wad of fishin line. Walk my dog every wknd morning at Smith Spings and usually fill my cargos full of line. I have untangled a susy, turtle, and even my dog. Loose line, especially in large amounts, is not good for any wildlife. Pick your crap up! All of it.
