Default Finally did it.....

Our anniversary is next month and I've been wanting a kayak for the past 3 years. My buddy Matt was going to look at the $99 one Academy had last night so we said we would ride along. We get there and they're out of those, but have the sit on top Pelican Apex 100. Dicks had it for $179 but academy's price was $250. They price matched for Matt and Carisa said go ahead and get it, Happy Anniversary!

Mind you I've never been on a kayak, and it's no where like the ones you guys have, but I think it will definitely be a good starting point for me. Now all I need to do is add some rod holders and I'm good to go!

You're on the water. That's what counts.

Today was the first trip. Walter Hill to Mona on Stones River. Barely fished as just getting use to the kayak. Didn't realize how out of shape I am. That was just a short paddle too!

Yep it will do it to you if you are not used to using those muscles. I always try to get good torso rotation in my stroke.
