Default OH Dam

Went to OH dam this morning in search of anything biting. They were pushing little to no water through. Hooked into a few nice 3 foot gar this would head shake and spit/cut the hook right at the shoreline. All on skipjack cut up. Threw a shad sitting out on bottom in a deep hole, hooked into what I thought was a nice catfish but to my surprise it was an 8 pound drum. Not what I was after, but hooked him on my 6 foot light weight bass pole so it was a fun ride. Fished from 6 to 9 this morning.
Headed back to walkers bait and tackle after I finished up and I ran into TNoutdoorsman, he had a live well over flowing with close to 30 catfish. He threw me a few pointers so I'll be heading out again soon to try my touch with his catfish secrets!

Drum are always fun to get in. Unless you are bass fishing and you think you have a hog, then you see it is a drum.
