Default Finesse wormin' some JPP bass in the woods

I got to sneak out to hit some bank spots after going to basspro earlier. Saw Merv at basspro. I walked to my spot I discovered last september. It is about a 10 minute walk to from my house. I didn't get a bite with my texas rigged baby brush hog and wacky rigged senko (too snaggy for an exposed hook) so I tied on a split shot rig with a 4.5 in Go 2 Baits shaky worm in green pumpkin. For anyone not familiar with the split shot rig, I use it like a finesse carolina rig. Anyway, these Go 2 Baits plastics float because they are 100% hand poured. They use a very limited amount of flake, and they don't use hardner in them, giving them more action. The are also super durable (I caught 37 bass on one worm last fall). They have a craw, a beaver bait, 10" and 13" paddle tail worm, along with a 7" and 4.5" shaky head worm. He also has the most affordable shaky head jigheads. Anyway, back to the report. I casted out my split shot rigged worm and got a bite the first cast. Even though it was only 14", it was still a blast. I caught one more on the split shot rig, then I tied on a 1/8 ounce shaky head with the same worm. I caught another 14 incher on it. Then I remembered I put a 1/4 ounce sexy shad spinnerbait in my bag before I left. I casted it to a laydown with fry swimming everywhere. A nice largmouth came out and SLAMMED it in shallow water. I got one more on it before I had to break it off. Then I put on a weightless trick worm and caught one more on it before I had to leave. I put the watermelon purple trick worm on because I wanted it to sink slowly, not float on the surface. There were definitely a lot of fry guarding males out there. I am going back tommorow early.
