Default KY Lake-Pickwick tailrace.

Spent all of the morning catching 75 Gills next to lock below the dam at Pickwick....in KY Lake. I also had 6 Smallies all around 11 inches. The Gills were truly great fish. All of them from 8.5-9 inches with girths from 8 inches up to almost 10 inches on many of them. They were all males and almost clones of each other. Some of them had the hump on the head. My pics do not do them justice. I should have taken the pics with fish in my Hawg Trough but that would be just one more thing to lug down and back up that long hill. Today was an absolute joy. These were some heavy Gills that really stripped drag. I was using 2# SOS Line and a Bison colored Trout Magnet on a 1/32 ounce lead head with a #8 hook. Looks like the spawn is on down there.

Regards
