Default Kayak accident

I've been hearing about it, but don't know much about it. Lowhead dams are very dangerous, and you should be familiar with your surroundings and the dangers that the water possess. Prayers go out to the families and people involved. I hope both were wearing their PFD's.

They were wearing PFD's. There was too much under current for the PFD to save the one yakker.

I am not familiar with that area of the river. I just looked it up on the map and it doesn't look like you can portage around the dam easily.
