Default looking South

Hello all,
I have been searching for jobs in TN and seem to be looking in all the wrong places, I have tried Monster, Indeed, local papers, LinkeIn and a ton of other search sites. I have a feeling that if you do not send a resume by mail and make them open it up, they just pass over it. Just my gut feeling.

Anyway, I have 18 years of Industrial Pipe, Valve, Hose and Fitting Sales and have spent the last 13 years as a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler / Supervisor. If you know of anyone looking to hire a salesman or a maintenance guy please let me know.

thank you
David

Try Career Builder. That's what the local papers use.
Good luck.

What i did when i moved here was find all the companies in my field and contact them directly whether they were advertising as hiring or not. I got a great job at one of my top prospects that way and they werent hiring at the time.

I did what Blink did when I got laid off in 2003. I made a list of all the manufacturing operations inthe area and went directly to their web sites and checked their job listing, usually under a "career" link on their web pages. I found this data to be much more fresh than what I was finding on Monster and the rest of the job boards. By the way Beretta USA has announced they are moving a production facility to Gallatin, TN. Worth keeping an eye on this development - http://www.beretta.com/en-us/careersmain/
