JPP Report 04-07-14

Fished this afternoon from 3:30-6:30. All fish were taken in 1-2' of water on a bank facing the direct wind of 20-30 mph. Used a 3/32 blue/chartreuse jig, 4lb. test line. Caught 20+ 9"-10" whites, 8 small yellow stripe, 3 largemouth 14"-16", and 11 crappie. All fish released except for crappie.

Nice job Gary! The wind was super bad at my spot, hard to keep a jig in the water.

Thanks all. It was tough to fish in the high wind. Cold and difficult to cast. Once I found some fish, I stood out in 2 feet of water and cast parallel to the wind/bank. These fish were chasing the shad close to the shore.
