Default old hickory lake fishing report 3/24/2014

Salty and I went fishing around 1pm since it was so nice and not much wind. The water temp was around 57.9 and we were hoping for some crappie but the LM bass were running the shad in the cove. We started on the right side of the cove first working the shore line with jig & pig and a 5" swim bait with little to no luck until we got in the back where all the action was. I change over to my 1/8oz feather spinner bait in white & chartreuse and miss one bass at the boat and Salty lost one too. I hook one small bass then changed back to the swim bait and caught one a little over a pound and in all we had five bass on the right side of the cove and was working our way around to the left side of the cove. A friendly boat came in the cove and it was Dan from Fishin Affliction and he was filming on the left side of the cove when we made our way around there and Salty pointed at braking shad and Dan said you can't catch fish by pointing at them and I hook up with a real nice 3.48lb LM bass and the fun started. I had Salty filming and Dan filming me catching this bass and landing it and releasing it. Dan said it will be on his next show and Dan calls me cowboy and as Salty and I started to leave I said what a great day it turn out to be with the sun going down and Salty and cowboy ride off in to the sun set LOL. So till the next time out good luck and GOD BLESS...................WOODY P.S. You will have to wait and see what Salty has filmed and Dan too.

Thumbs up

An absolutely fabulous time with Mr. WOODY or should I say cove master on the water this day! With Woody in the boat, no need for a fish finder because that is what he is. Giving me the layout of what this cove holds gave me no question it was going to be a fantastic time and it was! Video coming soon!
