Default Jpp 3-15

Well I did not do as well as Merv but we caught about 35 crappie total with 20 keepers and 3 hybrids, 1 white bass, 1 yellow bass. I know they say that where you find one crappie more are to follow....... We struggled to find more than a few at a time when we would catch one. We caught most of our fish in 20-23 feet of water on minnows and a few on jigs in 4-10 feet of water. Just about all fish came off the main channel. We started to head into stewarts creek first thing this morning but the amount of boats was crazy so we decided to head down the lake to fish. There were a lot of boats on the main channel in stewarts creek fishing, does anyone know what they are fishing for, I was thinking whitebass or hybrid because they seem to be on the move. We had three good fights with the hybrids we caught, I just about lost a rod over the side of the boat when one the the hybrids hit my minnow.

Nice fish John! I think those people in stewards creek were crappie fishing, at least it look like it to me.

thank you guys, as I told me wife that pretty much refills the freezer from what we have ate over the last few weeks. The guys I saw where across from the ramp at stewarts fishing around the channel, and up into the creek. Here is a rough map with arrows showing the locations. It was Crazy to see that many boats fishing in one little stretch. There were so many boats I did not even want to try and drive through them. Stewarts creek ramp in on the right.

Nice going. I rarely go fishing on weekends or holidays unless I'm with someone else to speed up the launch/trailer part. The local ramp gets crazy with pleasure boaters, jet skis, pontoon boats, and bass boats and no one has a lick of patience.

My grandfather said the same thing nomad. He is retired and fishes during the week because it drives him crazy to have to deal with the boat traffic. One day I will get on the fish and limit out, currently don't know what that feels like,

I thank God everyday I can fish through the week. I realize for most they must fish on weekends. I will do it on occasion....but try to hit lakes that are not as congested. I have found a great spot to put in at Center Hill that the area would not get a lot of pleasure boaters but the location is one where when I get back to the ramp might not have a trailer left...LOL.

It was just the areas all the boats were fishing. There were 15-20 boats in that area around the ramp of Stewarts creek. I was going to head back into stewarts but I would have had to dodge so many boats.

I was out there. I was after crappie. At one point you could walk across the lake without getting wet!

Yeah, I noticed that. We started to drive though everyone and then just pulled a U turn and headed back out. What were you doing, Drifting the main river channel?

Man I don't have a clue what I'm doing. I was just following everyone else's lead. Still figuring this out!
