Default Major fish kill at the new Carroll co 1000 acre Lake????

Anyone know anything about this and if it is true? Heard second hand there were a lot of dead bass and shellcrackers. Can anyone confirm this?

Just got the answer on another furum and it was Gibson Co lake , not Carroll. Lots of big Florida strain bass dead from lack of oxygen due to all the ice this year.

I haven't and likely won't fish it this year just because on the way keeper limits are set up, it just isn't worth the 35 mile drive for me. 20 bluegill-redear in combination, only 1 bass and it has to exceed 18in, 30 crappie if you can get 30 keeper sized fish. It is a phenomenal fishery that just needs a little more time in my opinion. I caught many many fish each of the few trips I made last year. I am talking 100's each trip!

I am a CPR guy so that is not a problem for me. That looks like a lot of fun. Gotta bring the yak over there soon.

I am normally a CPR guy, but after we discovered the Parmesan baked fish recipe my wife demands I keep some fish in the freezer. We can't get enough of that stuff LOL

Can you share the recipe? If you have already, I apologize.

Most amazing fish recipe I have ever eaten. Never been a big fish eater until finding this on Crappie.com. Any fish such as bream, bass, crappie, trout, talapia, etc will and do work. Just needs to be a thinner type fillet. You can play with spices and such as you please as well as the amount of bread crumb vs cheese. Try it and you will thank me I promise. I like to add a little salt, pepper, and itailian seasoning.

Baked Parmesan Crappie

Ingredients

1 or 2 eggs
¾ cup Panko Italian or any bread crumbs
¼ cup Parmesan cheese
¼ teaspoon ground dried thyme
Fish filets
¼ cup melted butter

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees

2. In a small bowl prepare an egg wash. In a separate bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and thyme. Dip the filets in the egg wash and then press into the crumb mixture to coat. Place filets in a glass baking dish, and drizzle with melted butter.

3. Bake on the top rack of the preheated oven until the fish flakes easily, about 15 minutes.
