I have been fishing for the most part out of my boat and I can't justify have such an expensive piece of equipment sitting on the shelf in my garage when I'm spending more and more money on my boat. I also have a double Hobie that my wife and I use but I could use on my own if I want to Kayak fish. Long story short, I want a $1500.00 trolling motor and I felt that I need to pick one the trolling motor or the yak.
