Exclamation FYI Old Hickory Spill way

I drive over the Old Hickory Bridge every day coming home from work and this is the first time in a month the water was not up in the trees along the bank.

Could make for some great fishing below the dam this week if the flow returns to normal.

With the water temps 37-38 degrees and a shad kill going on, the fishing is tough below the dam. The spillways are closed but the gens are running and there are thousands of 2-3 inch dead shad in front of and downstream of the generators.

The birds are having a field day but there is no surface activity by stripers or whites.
