Default GSP Friday afternoon and Saturday

Went to put in Cherokee Friday late morning and it was frozen so put in at flippers no ice. There were two other boats there when I got there. This is my second smallmouth over three pounds in 2 weeks. Added this sauger and smaller stripers. Went again Saturday morning about 830 put in it flippers water temperature 39.1 the steam plant was 56.8. Surprisingly only three other boats there most of the day. Once again smaller stripers. Best luck there has been on threadfin shad For me anyway.

That's a good day, Dakota. Hope mine is as good tomorrow.

But, I'm thinking my rockie will be in the high 20-mid 30's!

Hey! If you're gonna dream, DREAM BIG!

Now that is a good day of fishing.

Thanks for not reporting that you lost a 50 to 120 lb striper because he broke your 50lb. test braid.

Oh forgot to mention the TWRA survey guy Al was out there. Man I was shocked he got out there in that cold-weather. We chit chatted for a while he asked his questions then he did want to check my live well which I was not keep anything at that time. then we talked about how walleye and sauger were doing well at Cordell hull dam this year. This was Friday afternoon.

Dakota, I was stopped with fish and game yesterday so they could check my catch. That's the first time in 10 years I bet. I told him he sure did pick a pretty day to be on the water.

NOT A BITE ON LIVE SKIPPIES!

I even downsized my bait from 11 inches down to 8 inches.

Fished for four hours with two rods, nada.

While the striper rods were doing nothing, i used the ultralight to catch one bluegill after asnother, nearly every cast. Caught a bunch of little yellow bass and one tilapia.

Pulled out about 11:15. Going to meet jad2t below OHD to catch some WEBS.

It's probably TOO NICE of weather for the fishing to be hot...lol. Wait til it plunges back into the teens...then watch out.
