Halli is correct this is what Jeremy and I fight off everyday ... Anyone who (in this case Computer generated Bots) that fills out a membership are considered members ... IF THEY ARE APPROVED !!! and you see not many lately are ... Now the live spammers will hit some members occasionally through PM's ... Just disregard them ... They can't post ... actually Danny reset this membership number once this year when it came up to 40,000... So there has been over 100,000 spammers that has tried to enter our cyber space ... But so far we have held 99.999% of them off ...

But Merv is correct we have over 2500 active members who visit on a regular basis ... More need to participate ... We need their knowledge as well !! <'TK><

Ageless, if I could get out and catch some dang fish I would post about them, went to Center Hill yesterday, buddy wearing out Spots earlier in the week 4-6lbs, I go and nothing. I think I am bad luck. The fish were everywhere, marked them on the downscan threw everything at them except the kitchen sink. I bet the overcast today would have been better. Robert

robhal11,

We not only post when we catch a bunch, it's good to post the failures also. It may tell somebody what is working and what isn't working.

Plus it's just staying in contact with the other members.

I have probably the lowest catch rate of anybody on here this last couple of weeks. I'm just letting people know what I've tried (and so far, failed with) so they can decide maybe to try somewhere else, try different tactics or baits.

And sometimes we just throw in foolishness, you know like TK allowing SAMBOLIE to post on here. Every site needs someone they can look down on and make themselves feel better!

And you just made a good, valid post here. The last time MNfisher and I went to Center Hill, we got skunked too. The only other time I fished the Hill, I caught one fish....BUT, it was a 21 inch smallie. Big enough for a TARP certificate (which I didn't bother getting).

So post away. Let us know what is and isn't working where. We always appreciate any input from our lesser active posters.

I have so many options for fishing that I can't decide where I want to go fail next!

Center Hill can be a hard place to fish. But I tell you Merv with that sonar unit you have and that trolling motor you are ahead of most before you start. That lake has huge bluegill....but one has to find them. In my kayak if I am after them and they have moved from where I normally catch them I am lost....or having to do a ton of paddling and casting hoping to find them. That is why I really want that side scan on my kayak. That thing can spot Gill beds in 20 feet of water that can't be seen by anyone....yet it will hold big Gills. Very true in what you say in your post. Reading all the posts on here has really helped me in my fishing.

Ageless one brought up a great point. Posting what isn't working helps also, or just water temps and conditions. I just enjoy getting on here everyday and seeing what's going on. Work will be hectic until after the first of the year, so until then I'll be living through you guys on the boards here. I know a couple people who have been fishing the Cumberland River, and Dale Hollow.

This is for you and Merv. Crank baits (lipped or lipless), soft plastics (worms, sliders, CM, TM, etc.) jigs, blades, etc. are not working. Deep, shallow and in between ain't working. Sandy, rocky bottom, wood, etc. ain't working.
Hope this helps.
Sold my boat. now may sell my tackle.
