Default Woods on Sunday

Had a nice Sunday afternoon fishing for crappie on Woods. Caught 11 keeper crappie and one nice largemouth. The percentage of keepers vs. non-keepers is getting better. Also caught a lot of small white bass.

Most of the crappie were caught on minnow-tipped Crappie Magnet white jigs (1/32 oz.). Also used TMs in a variety of colors but the crappie preferred minnows. Fished around 23 feet deep. Fish are along the river channel banks where schools of baitfish are located. Sometimes the fish bite very, very light ... You can feel the bite but not see the line or rod tip move.

It was a very enjoyable afternoon!

Funny how some days jigs work and others they want minnows. Glad you caught some fish.
