Default Caney 12/21/13

Got to slip out for a few hours today. Was going to hit a local creek, but noticed Center Hill was holding water back since late last night. Waded from 9am-12pm at Happy Hollow. Caught 30+ bows, 1 brown and 1 gill. Caught most on gold TM twitched with split shot and 5 on Rapala crank. The TM did surprisingly well in the high winds luckily it was blowing downstream as I would cast down and twitch back up. I spooled on 4lb. P-Line flouro clear and it did great didn't even use 2 lb flouro leader as I normally do.

Sounds like a blast! Anything bigger than stockers?

Just chunky bows. They were some large browns nearby though. I startled 2 as I was wading upstream and a couple busted up close to me. I left the heavy tackle in the truck though...

Good luck Hali. Let us know how it goes. With this front maybe you will get on a good bite.
