Wade on low water only (no gens).
You can move pretty freely from the Dam down to Moody's ramp area then you hit a deep spot. That is the trend afterwards... some shallow wading areas then deep spot that you may have to get out to go around. Steep banks too in some spots so be careful. The top end towards the Dam is most wading friendly as the lower end is deep.
You will definitely need the fluorocarbon leader but I am sure you already know that.
Tons of fish literally as its stocked every week all year. All three species in there (brook, brown, rainbow). More than likely it will be all stockers but there are big fish in all three in there I can promise you that.
Current is a questionable characteristic there. Depending on whether Cordell is generating or the Cumberland is running you could have no current, some current or current flowing towards the Dam.
If you fish the river like a typical trout river you'll have some success but if you fish it like a bass river you'll have more. Meaning not relying on current to take bait to fish... fish to structure, creek mouths, timber, rock etc.
Hope this helps, I personally love the water up there. It has great color.
