Default Walleye fishing

So, my grandfather wants to catch some walleye. Anyone have recommendations on locations within an hour or so drive of Murfreesboro. Also any tips and tricks would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

I've caught walleye and sauger in the Cordell Hull tailwater in late winter. The upper end of Center Hill gets a popular walleye run too.
