Default What’s it worth?

I was hoping I could get some input on the value of a boat. I inherited this from my father-in-law 2.5 years ago and it hasn’t moved since. I’m looking to sell it because I’m not going to use it. It’s a 1982 (I believe) model Cheetah, 20 ft. with 200hp Yamaha. It needs work (couple broken switches, speed guage doesn't work, lots of cleaning, live well work, motor tune up). Ran great last time we took it out (again…over 2.5 years ago). Any idea what price I should start at?

You realize that you are only going to get what you ask for...opinions.

This is possibly the worst time in the world to sell a boat with winter, Christmas, etc coming on. In my estimation, if you can squeeze 3500.00 out of it this Spring, you have caught a fish!

Thanks for the reply. That's actually more than what I was thinking. I've debated whether to wait till the spring or try to sell it now. I may put it on craigslist and see what I get...worst case scenario I take it off and try in the spring.
