Default Did they just disappear?

I figured out that we needed to get a shear pin for our motor to work. I got a few from TK. Thanks TK! I fished from 11-4 and caught a dink. That's all. Where are they? I fished shallow, deep, and anywhere in between! I used jigs, crankbaits, shaky heads, and buzz baits. I fished from Lamar Hill to the sister cove next to fate sanders. I don't have a depth finder yet, so maybe that played a role in it.

This are just my thoughts; others with much more experience and knowledge will hopefully give you a better answer.

I've never done well this time of year when the fish are transitioning from the deep spots where they hang out in summer back to the shallower areas (at least that's what I think they are doing about now)...I have no idea where they are during this time and have no idea how to locate them. Once they get back in the creeks, it gets a bit better for me, especially if they play nice and let me know where they are by busting shad LOL

As far as fishfinders go, I have 2 on my boat and haven't caught one fish because of either of them yet but I always do know the water depth and temperature

The 4 bodies of water I fished today have been over harvested as far as the trophy Gills. But they all 4 have plenty of small Gills. They were there.....just did not want to feed. Same at Pickwick.....couldn't even get a pumpkin seed. They will turn on again.... I just don't know when....but you can bet I will be on the water trying until they do. Can't dance....might as well keep fishing.

Regards
