Default Vfw

Got into some decent Gills this afternoon at VFW. The water is getting clear and the colors on the fish are really nice. I used a Bison colored Trout Magnet body on a 5mm tungsten tear drop jig head with a #12 hook......just bumping it on the bottom in about 12 feet of water. I caught about 2 dozen of these Gills but lost about 3 dozen after a good hook up. I don't know if it is the very short shank....small gap.....or because the wire hook is very small in diameter. I have never had this problem but have never used this jig head until today. Anyway sure was a lot of fun and I will try it again tomorrow.

Regards
