Default Caney Below The Dam Sunday Evening

Didn't take a boat but a couple rods to the river Sunday evening. Everyone out of minnows so went with TM and night crawlers. Mom caught a small rainbow and I caught nothing. There were several out there, around 3 or 4 boats, 4 or 5 yaks, 1 wader, and around 8 bank fishers.
Anyone here out there??? Any good catches???

I heard it was very tough all weekend in the Caney. This cold snap really turned off the fish. I didn't do much fishing but I did hit a small creek to flyfish and wasn't getting enough action to make it worth wading in water that was much colder than I expected!

thinking of taking boat today and fish the pond. Do you think it would be waste of time? Or better since it is warming up today?

I'd certainly do it if I wasn't working. Monday means no crowds. Weather is still pleasant and we're a few days after the front. Plus, you'll never know unless you go!

X2... I would give it a shot. Just pasted over the CF river headed up to Celina to see my cousin and I'm gonna hit the Obey for a few hours. Good luck!
