Default RESULTS!!!!Kayak Fishing Event Tuesday September 24th Jefferson Springs

On September 24th we will be having the next kayak fishing event. We will be meeting at Jefferson Springs on Percy Priest at 1700, and start fishing at 1715, then turn in photos by 2000, back at the ramp.
Entry is optional, if you would like to compete it will be $10 to enter, and an optional $5 for big fish. (PLEASE BRING EXACT CASH)
If you just want to hang out and fish then afterward tell everyone you caught bigger fish, that's fine also.
You will use your longest two fish of the evening for a total score, and longest individual fish is for big fish.
The approved measuring device is the Hawg Trough carried by Hook1.
Artificial lures only, paddle craft only.

You can count me in. If you have a fancy kayak I can try out even better. I went and fished the smith springs area this afternoon because I thought that's where the event was going to be. I met someone from the website at the ramp. Sorry if you thought I was a bit weird, I know not to many people spark up a conversation by asking if you belong to a fishing website.

Jefferson Springs is less than a 10 minute drive from work so as long as nothing keeps me later than normal, I'm in this time.

We are allowing phones for now, as long as we can clearly see the photo, identifier, and marks on the measuring device. As we go on things will get a little tighter, but for now we are just trying to get people introduced.

Thanks Jeremy. I just re read your earlier thread and offer for a ride plus I forgot about a backyard where a moken gets all the use now.

Don't know if time will work since the wife gets home around 6 but i would like to try an OH one sometime.

This area of the lake tends to look really nasty after heavy rains, literally the entire area looking like coffee with cream added. It's not like the North side of the lake that stays clear after rain but just rises. Let's hope we get the normal color water! I'm looking forward to meeting some more people from this forum.

Also, in the early Spring before water levels rise back up, I like to walk way down the bank at this area after work and fish until dark exclusively with watermelon color flukes and I don't think I've ever been skunked. I've got an area that is just stacked with 10-15" bass that time of year. Don't know about this time of year but I don't think it would be much different as we're entering Fall. Should be a some good fishing!

I think we have to get TK to approve that since it's his site but I'd put one on my yak, that would be a great way to meet each other anytime on the water when we spot one another.
