Default Old Hickory?

My fishing partner and I will be venturing down to Old Hickory this weekend for the first time together. I have been a couple of times, but my buddy has never been. We just graduated from college and have started our careers; if any one is able to help we are looking for any help with the bass fishing on Old Hickory lately. How is it fishing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Early morning, breaking daylight early, until the sun gets fully on the water think topwater. In open water use a Spook Jr, Rapala Skitter prop, Spit N' Image or similar. Focus on points with cane grass that have deeper water nearby. Use a buzzbait in and around the edges of the shoreline grass and bounce it into docks or wood cover during the retrieve. Once the sun gets on the water go to dark color texas rig plastics, still focus on docks and wood and water depths out to around 14'. However keep a topwater or small crankbait rigged and ready in case you run into white bass crashing shad on the surface.

Better check flippers tournament schedule. There were tons of boats over there this morning as I came in to work.
