Default Gills and Smallies

Went back to what I do today.....fishing the Trout Magnet with 2# test line. Caught a dozen Smallies all at the 11 and 12 inch mark and about 40 Gills at the 7 to 8 inch mark. Both specie had my drag singing. Also caught 3 Cats that gave me a heck of a fight. It was a nice afternoon on the water. Water temps were 84 degrees and water was clear. No "jumps" anywhere I went today and once again no white bass. Will rest up this weekend and start again next week.

Regards

Hello Alphahawk I'm a little new to the site and using trout magnets. Are you using a 2lbs leader? How long of a leader if so? Also what body of water are you fishing? Thanks!!

Check the archives Tlynn87. Alphahawk has detailed a lot of his methods and techniques already. Take a look at what's already been written and if you have specific questions, you'll get a good answer.

I've been practicing the techniques, so I'll tell you, yes, use 2lb line with a 18" or so 2lb fluorocarbon leader for best results.

The TM folks also have some good videos on their website, and if you order a bundle from them, they'll include the CD.

Welcome and good luck,

Billy
