Pickwick trip with MNfisher
MNfisher and I headed to Pickwick yesterday and stayed until sunset. We caught fish but it was not a great day. But we both had a good time. It was very frustrating to know the bass were stacked in there and we couldn't entice them to hit much of anything....and there were big fish lurking there also. Mike is a great guy. He is very knowledgeable about fishing and his photos are outstanding....he has a couple from yesterday maybe he will post later. The water was 5 feet lower than when I fished it Friday. I am sure that had something to do with the slow bite. But I will not be deterred and after a few days rest will start again. I want that big bass out of there and will continue my pursuit. It was hot there yesterday and we had move around to fish 3 different spots. At our last spot of the day I had sucked down my last water I had taken down to the river with me. Mike offered to walk back up that hill to get some out of the car....man did I appreciate that. I really thought I was about to die....LOL....thanks Mike.
Regards

I had a great time! We worked hard for our fish, but we caught them. I have a curse on Pickwick, I always "should have been there yesterday" LOL! Mr. Randy is a great fishing friend and there is not much better than tossing some lines and having some good ol' fish talk! We fished a long time and there was never a dull moment. Saw some fish busting like crazy in and out of shad balls. We caught some of them, but several didn't want what we were tossing! And I had more than I would like to count jump and toss my lure. But I guess that comes with bass fishing! Looking forward to the next trip! Thanks again Randy!

Yeah it was a very good trip....not a ton of fish but a good trip. The water is getting really clear since they shut the gates......thus the good color on the fish. Was going today but thought the storms were headed there...but they went south...LOL. Might try tomorrow.
