Default finally on Priest

Found a good school today. Had several 3's, 3 just over 4, 2 just over 5 and one pushing 6 lbs. all largemouth, mostly on fat free shad, rootbeer float in 16 to 17 feet of water. Schooled up tight. Only got one pic of a couple in livewell, let them go. Had to many boats in sight to do any picture taking.

That's a heck if a day anywhere. Congrats!

Priest certainly has that potential. I'm surprised it doesn't spit out more bags pushing 20lbs in tournaments. I've been catching a few good ones here and there but not in big wads like that. Definitely smart not to be snapping a bunch of pictures. You would have boats all over it. Again, congrats.

from saturday, couple in livewell. didn't keep any but these were fat.

found another school in 10' yesterday. had 7 that would measure 15".

this one was 23" but looked like it hadn't ate in several weeks.

as you can tell, played with a couple props also, no luck all about the same. 90titans89, yep talking priest in tennessee. last time I found a school like this was a few years ago in the spring and before that was mid to late 90's on dropoff.

A lot of those bass at Pickwick were on the long side....but lacked weight. Wonder what the deal is with that? If it had been one or two could understand but it was quite a few. A 23 inch fish is nice even if he lacks a little weight.

pic doesn't do it justice, but I could put my fist in the mouth of that fish. It had a huge head.

Here is a fish I caught in the 90's, best school I have ever found on priest. It ate a Poe's 400 crankbait and had to eat it. I remember, grilled wasn't bad.

23" fish yesterday wasn't much smaller.

No doubt that is a hawg. When you can put your fist down it's throat it qualifies as a "hawg"!
